Provincial and Federal Incentives 

• Government of Saskatchewan Business Incentives and Tax Credits: Investment incentives directory. 

• Saskatchewan Value-Added Agriculture Incentive (SVAI): A non-refundable, non-transferable tax credit for capital expenditures of $10 million or more on newly constructed or expanded value-added agriculture facilities.

• Saskatchewan Lean Improvements in Manufacturing (SLIM): Provides funding to agribusinesses for infrastructure projects that improve productivity and efficiency.

• Saskatchewan Product Development Program Supports agri-businesses and industry organizations in developing new products.

• Clean Electricity Investment Tax Credit (Clean Electricity ITC): Up to 30% refundable tax credit for investments in clean electricity projects, such as wind, solar, and storage. Eligibility: Corporations

• Local Food Infrastructure Fund: Supports projects that include a production element and aim to address local food security priorities. 

• AgriInnovate Program: Repayable contributions for projects that aim to accelerate the commercialization, adoption and/or demonstration of innovative products, technologies, processes or services that increase agri-sector competitiveness and sustainability. 

• Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP): A federal-provincial-territorial initiative that provides funding to support the agriculture sector’s competitiveness, innovation, and sustainability. Programs Include: AgriInnovation; Agri-Science; Agri-Environment; AgriCompetitiveness.

• Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) Tax Credit: Encourages Canadian businesses to conduct research and development in Canada.
